General Information:

Patients who have particular problems with their stoma may require additional accessories but these should normally not be used routinely in the long term. Recommendations on the routine use of accessories should only be made by stoma specialist nurses on an individual need basis. Accessories should preferably be prescribed as an acute prescription.
